We invite clinicians, practitioners, and allied health professionals who treat clients with addictive disorders to attend the 2016 Addiction Medicine Continuing Education course now on Harvard Medical School’s campus at The Joseph B. Martin Conference Center on September 30-October 1, 2016.

The Division on Addiction, Cambridge Health Alliance presents "Addiction Medicine Best Practices of Today & Tomorrow: A Case-based Approach to the Treatment of Addiction" with a keynote address by Dr. A. Thomas McLellan, co-founder of the Treatment Research Institute and former Deputy Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

Each year, this course provides cutting-edge information on methods of diagnosis and protocols for intervention and management strategies for patients with substance abuse and dependence. Our expert faculty will provide a forum for dialogue and participant interaction through lectures, case-studies, and Q & A. During 2016, to celebrate our 20th consecutive year of educating the public about addiction science and medicine through the Brief Addiction Science Information Source, course faculty will review the major scientific addiction-related prevention, early intervention, and treatment breakthroughs of the past two decades. In addition, we will explore what we expect for the future, from practice to policy.
